What We Do
We work mostly Locally with special Kids who are ready and eager to learn, alongside one or both of their parents and we actively guide and teach them. Through welcoming, hands-on workshops, we introduce families to the rewarding world of creating and managing a Survival Garden — a practical garden designed to produce real & healthy food while building confidence, responsibility, and connection to nature. We provide gentle, step-by-step guidance in:
- Composting and especially vermicomposting (worm composting) — turning kitchen scraps & organic waist into rich, living soil in a fun and educational way
- Choosing the best crops to grow for nutrition, ease of care, and dependable results
- Soil management — simple, effective ways to keep soil healthy, fertile, and full of beneficial life (bio-active)
- Communication and social skills — naturally practicing turn-taking, asking questions, sharing observations, teamwork, patience, and celebrating successes together in the garden.
Mission Statement
WillBee’s Kids empowers children to take control of their food future by providing the tools, skills, and confidence to grow healthy, organic, fresh fruits and vegetables through their own gardens. In an era of inconsistent food supplies and increasing chemical additives—including known carcinogens—we equip young people with essential organic gardening, basic farming, and food-survival knowledge to foster self-reliance, healthier choices, and a lifelong connection to nutritious, homegrown food. This version:
- Starts with the core purpose and benefit (empowerment through tools/skills/confidence).
- Addresses the problem context (inconsistent supply, chemicals/carcinogens) without being overly alarmist.
- Emphasizes the solution (control via personal gardens, organic/fresh focus).
- Highlights the skills/outcomes (gardening, farming, survival skills, confidence).
- Ends on a positive, forward-looking note.
